PURPOSE:

The CCTV Technician is an entry level position that involves troubleshooting and maintenance of CCTV systems. A CCTV Technician must be able to assemble, dissemble, repair and monitor camera systems. This role includes communication with external and internal customers, so strong communication skills are required. The individual must be able to work independently and within teams on special non-recurring and ongoing projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair robotic sewer camera in a timely manner as per the manufacturer’s procedures and recommendations.

  • Inspect mechanical components of the crawlers, cameras, lights and lift assemblies.

  • Ability to read technical drawings and diagrams a plus.

  • Clean and work on equipment that has been in a live sewer.

  • Use basic machine shop tools and knowledge of safe machine shop practices.

  • Occasionally fabricate or modify equipment and components on an as-needed basis.

  • Ability to accurately annotate and maintain repair documentation.

  • Willingness to learn and seek assistance with unfamiliar technical difficulties.

  • Capable of handling a variable task load under minimal supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong mechanical ability (Mechanical component inspection and repair).

  • Good computer skills.

  • High school diploma.

  • Previous experience with repair of small electronics and cables preferred.

  • Previous experience with soldering an asset.

  • Basic understanding of electronics repair a plus.

  • Competent using Microsoft Office Software.

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Technical repair: 1 year (Preferred)

  • Basic mechanical: 1 year (Preferred)
