PURPOSE:
A Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles and other larger projects. Heavy municipal and contractor equipment may include sewer combination cleaner trucks, hydro excavators, street sweepers, multi-purpose tractors and attachments and leaf maintenance equipment. Individual must be dependable and hardworking and have a basic set of hand tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical repairs and pre-delivery inspections on a variety of heavy equipment.
Use basic shop tools and knowledge of safe shop practices.
Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.
Maintain organized and safe work area and shop tools.
Complete manufacturer training and demonstrate consistent ability to repair different manufacturer equipment.
Ability to read electrical (12v) and hydraulic schematics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 plus years of mechanical experience and repair of 12-volt electrical systems preferred.
High school diploma/GED required.
Valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus.
Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance.
Knowledge of hydraulics and how to properly diagnosis and repair.
Fabrication and welding experience considered a plus.
Sound problem-solving skills.
Must be willing to be a team player.
Must pass drug test and background check.
