PURPOSE:

A Service Technician will perform repairs and maintenance of fleet vehicles and other larger projects. Heavy municipal and contractor equipment may include sewer combination cleaner trucks, hydro excavators, street sweepers, multi-purpose tractors and attachments and leaf maintenance equipment. Individual must be dependable and hardworking and have a basic set of hand tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical repairs and pre-delivery inspections on a variety of heavy equipment.

  • Use basic shop tools and knowledge of safe shop practices.

  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections.

  • Maintain organized and safe work area and shop tools.

  • Complete manufacturer training and demonstrate consistent ability to repair different manufacturer equipment.

  • Ability to read electrical (12v) and hydraulic schematics.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 plus years of mechanical experience and repair of 12-volt electrical systems preferred.

  • High school diploma/GED required.

  • Valid driver’s license. CDL is a plus.

  • Experience conducting routine services and vehicle maintenance.

  • Knowledge of hydraulics and how to properly diagnosis and repair.

  • Fabrication and welding experience considered a plus.

  • Sound problem-solving skills.

  • Must be willing to be a team player.

  • Must pass drug test and background check.
