Your Role: Consultant, Strategist, Partner

As an Equipment Consultant, you’ll be a key player in our continued success. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building Your Territory: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan to identify and convert prospect accounts, penetrate existing customers, and drive growth within your assigned geographic area.
  • Becoming a Trusted Advisor: Provide expert guidance and support to clients throughout the entire sales process, from initial planning and budgeting to contract execution and after-purchase support.
  • Mastering Technical Expertise: Present technical information, concepts, and applications effectively to a diverse audience, including municipalities, private companies, educational organizations, and contractors.
  • Creating Value: Differentiate BEC from the competition by providing consultative value, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions.
  • Owning Customer Relationships: Manage and nurture relationships with top-tier clients, leveraging internal resources to deliver exceptional service.
  • Driving Results: Consistently evaluate your performance, measure pipeline success, and adapt your strategies to achieve sales objectives.
  • Embracing Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.

The Ideal Candidate: Skills and Attributes

We’re seeking a driven and results-oriented individual with:

  • Proven Sales Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of direct selling experience.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as necessary within your assigned territory.
  • Location: Must reside in close proximity to the geography (Northeast Ohio or Chicago) or be willing to relocate.
  • Customer Focus: A strong commitment to understanding and meeting customer needs.
  • Business Acumen: Strong business analytics skills to analyze data, develop, execute, and adjust business plans.
  • Technical Competence: Ability to quickly learn and understand technical product information.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt and respond to changing market conditions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
