POSITION SUMMARY:

The Service Center Director strategizes and develops long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success at BEC. The Service Center Director is responsible for the growth and profitability of the service center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages overall branch operations to ensure safety, productivity, excellent customer service and profitability

  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and Equipment Consultants to ensure alignment between sales and service center growth goals

  • Identifies and measures customer satisfaction by engaging with the sales team in rectifying customer issues related to operations and/or the service department

  • Collaborates with ownership in the development of performance goals and long-term operational plans

  • Responsibility and review of reports to include profit and loss statements, monthly operating reviews, yearly budgets and other reports detailing operational status

  • Leads team with integrity to establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment

  • Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal, state and local regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, DOT, etc. Right-to-Know etc.

  • Evaluates and assist in management of fleet and inventory to ensure customer demands are met

  • Develops, implements and directs employee assessment program for service center

  • Devises strategies and work with project management to implement process improvements to maximize outputs and minimize costs

  • Builds and maintains relationships with all departments, external partners and vendors to make decisions regarding operational activities and strategic goals

  • Plans, monitors, and analyzes key metrics for the day-to-day performance of the operations to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledgeable of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production and employee engagement

  • Strong time management and organization skills

  • Sound problem-solving skills

  • Must possess intermediate computer skills

  • Excellent communication, sales and customer service skills

  • Ability to positively lead a team while fostering and maintaining a cohesive team environment

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business preferred or four to ten years related experience

  • Previous sales and management experience
