WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The Assistant Controller is a senior level accounting professional who supports the finance department by managing accounting operations. This position requires the ability to multi-task multiple complex transactions within various software programs and plan and execute department projects as assigned.

  • Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable and general accounting processes

  • Manage all aspects of the general ledger for various companies

  • Work directly with the Controller and Management and responsible for having a thorough understanding of financial transactions and reporting requirements

  • Perform monthly reconciliations of various accounts

  • Audit and enter expense reports

  • Assist with financial statement preparation and monthly close processes

  • Maintain fixed assets

  • Providing financial analysis and support to business leaders

  • Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets

  • Respond to information requests and prepare documentation for external audits

  • Assist with payroll preparation

  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned

DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES?

  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks

  • Proficient in Microsoft office

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong financial analysis skills

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented

  • Team player

  • High level accounting knowledge

DO YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE?

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • 3+ years previous experience as an accountant, assistant controller, or in a similar role

  • Experience with an ERP preferred Net Suite experience a plus
